Nursery Lead/Pesticide Applicator
Bauman Farms and Garden is seeking a full‑time Nursery Lead/ Pesticide Applicator to support our retail and wholesale greenhouse and agricultural operations. This role is critical to maintaining plant health, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting a clean, safe growing environment.
JOB DUTIES
- Apply pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and fertilizers in retail and wholesale greenhouse and agricultural settings
- Safely mix, handle, load, and apply chemicals according to label instructions and regulations
- Monitor crops and plants for insects, diseases, and environmental stress
- Make pest control and treatment recommendations as needed
- Calibrate, maintain, and clean spraying and application equipment
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all chemical applications
- Monitor chemical inventory and assist with proper storage and disposal
- Follow all OSHA, EPA, and Oregon Department of Agriculture safety guidelines
- Work collaboratively with greenhouse, growing, and retail teams
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current State Pesticide Applicator License (Oregon) or ability to maintain licensure
- 1–2 years of greenhouse or agricultural experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe pesticide handling and application techniques
- Experience maintaining required chemical use documentation and logs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including standing, bending, and lifting
PAY & BENEFITS
- Pay Range: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour, DOE
- Status: Full‑Time

Bauman’s Farms & Garden is seeking an experienced Tree & Shrub Manager to lead our woody ornamentals department.
Schedule includes working Saturdays and occasional Sundays, with one weekday off.
Compensation:
Starting at $20/hr, depending on experience.
