A Bauman Family favorite! A perfect warm and hearty dinner for cold nights.

  • 2 Cups Soak beans in water overnight Rinse and place them in a large soup kettle
  • 1 Ham Bone or 1 lb cut up ham or bacon
  • 2 Qt Water
  • 1 Cup Diced Carrots
  • 1 Cup Chopped Onion
  • 1 Cup Diced Potatoes
  • Salt & Pepper to taste


  • Bring to a boil and reduce heat; simmer for at least 2 1/2hours.
